Wow! Did we get some snow here in Philadelphia this past week or what?!? The total snow fall from Friday, 05 February through to Thursday, 11 February was something like four to five feet! Although the snowstorm was worse elsewhere (particularly in Washington, D.C.), it still managed to set a new record locally.

Having grown up in the suburbs of Chicago, I thought that I was used to significant snow fall. Yet, I cannot remember a worse snow storm – especially the driving wind and white-out conditions that developed on Wednesday afternoon. I am not looking forward to another one of those any time soon!
